With the arrival of the warmer weather it's no 'rest for the wicked' here at Woolerina! As we say good bye to Winter 2020 we are already busy bringing our AW21 collection to life.
We take a very team orientated approach to planning each collection. We start with the design and colour ideas and then sampling of these ideas. Once we finalise our designs, patterns are developed and we move into the production phase.
Production of our AW21 collection will look a bit different for us this year with the introduction of a computer aided design program that integrates with a fully automated cutting system. This will save our production manager Delia a fair few trips around the cutting table!
Once it's done on the cutting table, the cut pieces are bundled into their sizes and styles and they are moved into our sewing room to be made into garments.
Once a garment is complete it's steamed, tagged and packed in its calico bag. The swing tag for each garment is personally signed by the person who completed it.
We are very proud that our design and production processes happen in our workroom at Forbes, in Central West NSW. We welcome visitors all year round to our workroom and we love to share whatever it is that is happening.
What a wonderful idea; photographing the ‘behind the scenes’ process at Woolerina. Wishing you every success for a prosperous 2021.
Enjoyed reading all about production process & look forward to what’s in store for 2020. Fantastic quality, made with love. Best regards Suzanne 🥰
I wish it could be winter all year round… so I can wear my wollerina !
Every time I put on one of my garments I say to myself how good I feel wearing it.
It’s just so so soft on the skin.
