Waste has always concerned us at Woolerina and over the past 10 years we have carefully collected all the off-cuts from our cutting room floor, while we worked on finding a way for this waste to be used. There have been many ideas and many 'road blocks' however we are thrilled to be able to finally bring these off-cuts to life through this partnership with Australia's oldest working textile mill, Waverley Mills.
Woolerina fabric off-cuts have been blended with virgin wool fibre to create a new yarn, designed specifically for this collaboration.
This limited collection of 128 blankets was woven at Waverley Mills. Each blanket is entirely unique as a result of the off-cuts used which have been collected from many season colour palettes.
We would love for you to read more about this project here.
